It’s difficult to believe that 2017 is half over. Winter and spring have come and gone and summer is in full swing. As we begin July and the second half of the year, let’s take a mid-year check-up.

Our students just returned from Mission Fuge (MFuge) at Ridgecrest, NC . We served in various communities around the Asheville area.  I am proud of these students. They worked with children, visited nursing homes, worked in yards and houses, and spent time sharing the gospel with the homeless.

In their book The Resolution for Men, authors Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick suggest that in order for fathers to “have their children’s hearts” and cultivate a loving, healthy relationship with them, they must commit to giving their children their attention, affirmation, and affection.
