And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

1 Peter 5:10

The following videos and links are available for download or viewing. A three-part series is available, including “Addiction,” “Recovery,” and “Restoration.” The series is meant to help churches become more aware of the opioid epidemic in our nation and to provide resources to help those facing this struggle.

Central Baptist Church has worked alongside The Central Kentucky Network of Baptists and the Kentucky Baptist Convention to bring the vision of Todd Burus to churches around our nation. The documentary series is co-produced by Todd Burus and Chris Jones (of Central Baptist Church) and is co-directed by Chris Jones and Eric Horine (also of Central Baptist Church).

No Shame Left – Addiction (Part 1)

Part 1 of the No Shame Left Series. This is an opportunity for the church to take a look into the dark places that we only whisper about, a chance to hear first hand accounts from those that have come through the other side as well as those who have lost loved ones in this ongoing battle. Part 1 takes an open and honest look at the pain caused by the opioid crisis.

“Addiction” is an easy-to-follow story that will help churches begin the conversation on “Breaking the Stigma” associated with drug addiction.

No Shame Left – Recovery (Part 2)

Part 2 of the No Shame Left Series. “Recovery” shows us the struggles that addicts face in the fight to get clean, through the eyes of those who have fought it. It is also a chance to meet those on the front lines of this battle.

“Recovery” is the next step in “Breaking the Stigma” within the church. It’s another look into those dark places that we would rather not go. It will help to learn that what they say is true, “If we keep it in the darkness it will grow. We need to bring it into the light.”

No Shame Left – Restoration (Part 3)

Part 3 of the No Shame Left Series. While it seems this could be the end of the road, “Restoration” actually challenges the church to a new beginning. A timely challenge to help those struggling with addiction by showing them the love they need while restoring them to fellowship with the church.

“Restoration” seeks to guide the church to help those that are struggling find ultimate redemption in Jesus. While it does challenge us to a new beginning, it is also the final step in “Breaking the Stigma” of addiction. It should encourage us to continue the conversation on how the church should act and motivate us to action.
